The Going Home Project just got a little more comfy …

So with a fortuitous bit of luck and the fact that Cape Town is like a small village, where everyone knows someone you know, the Going Homeless Project struck proverbial gold yesterday morning.

A good buddy and fellow beer lover, Simon Richman, who runs British Military Fitness (Get out there you lazy bastards!) mentioned my upcoming road trip to a client of his, Simon Lewis. Turns out Simon heads up Hostelling International South Africa.

We had a great sit down yesterday and discovered that the Going Homeless Project and HI South Africa are pointing in the same direction. Ideas were thrown around, coffee’s were smashed, bacon was eaten and soon a plan was born from breakfast.

I’ll be crashing and drinking beers at HI South Africa’s extensive network of hostels around South Africa. I will also be blogging and shooting about my experiences at the various hostels, the activities they offer and the communities they give back to.

How cool is that?
